Meat Moroccan Tagine

What is a Tagine?

Tagine is a traditional Moroccan dish, it is also the name of the object which is made of clay, the reason why Moroccan people use Tagine is because it is made of natural material in addition to its positive effects on your health.



  • 600g beef meat
  • 1tbsp parsley
  • 2 pieces garlic
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ tsp ginger powder
  • ½ tsp curcuma
  • ½ cinnamon
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Pinch of colorant
  • Pinch of saffron



  • 250g dry plum+ 1tbsp cinnamon+2tbsp sugar


In a large bowl we put the chopped onion+ chopped parsley+ grated garlic+ pepper+ ginger+ curcuma+ cinnamon+ colorant+ saffron+ olive oil+ salt+ meat.

Mix the ingredients together, leave the mixture rest for 1hour in the fridge. Heat the Tagine on a low heat, place the meat in the Tagine, and flip it to the other side from time to time, if it needs water add only ½ cup of water , because the onion will release all the water needed.


In a cooking pan, place the dry plum with cinnamon stick and water , leave it boil for 10 min, after that add the sugar and leave it for another 5 min, then add cinnamon and mix all , leave it boil for another 5 min .


The Tagine takes 1h on a low heat to be ready. After it is cooked, place the plum over the meat and serve it with bread.
